Indian woman gets ₹250,000 electricity bill despite living in a hut with one fan and bulb

 In a bizzare incident to have passed off in Guna town of India's Madhya Pradesh district, a sixty five-12 months-old domestic helper has been saddled with a  ₹250,000 electricity invoice, numerous Indian media shops said.

Only a light bulb and a desk fan are powered by means of electricity in Rambai's home, a modest shack. Previously, she obtained bills starting from ₹three hundred to  ₹500. The female, but, became not able to settle the bill for two months due to a lockdown, and this time she acquired a bill for  ₹250,000.


The lady was bowled over to look the heavy electricity invoice and went to the electricity branch's workplace to have it corrected, but remained unsuccessful. The aged woman advised Indian media that she waits for the officers each day outside the workplace underneath a tree, however that no person notices her.


“I earn my living by way of running as a maid in other’s homes. I even have a bulb and a desk fan in my residence. My invoice has come to  ₹250,000. I were coming to the electricity department for the closing numerous days, however there may be no person to pay attention,” Rambai told News 18.
