Clear early signs of fourth COVID-19 wave starting in Pakistan: Asad Umar

AJK CEC writes to PM Imran Khan after Ali Amin Gandapur seen donating cash while campaigning

  The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chief Election Commissioner, retired Justice Abdul Rashid Sulehria, has written a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan requesting him to ensure that ministers observe the code of conduct set for the July 25 elections to the AJK Legislative Assembly. The development comes after a video began circulating on social media which shows Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Ali Amin Gandapur handing over a thick bundle of cash to some supporters in AJK's LA-1 Mirpur 1 constituency where he had gone to campaign this week. Some people had gathered around Gandapur to complain to him of a badly damaged road. They told him that they are looking to repair it with whatever meagre funds they can scrounge up on their own. Shahid Afridi 'really impressed' by Shahnawaz Dahani's younger brother in nets

  Former Pakistan team captain Shahid Afridi on Thursday said he is "really impressed" by the bowling of the younger brother of Multan Sultans pacer Shahnawaz Dahani and called for better sports facilities in interior Sindh. "Really impressed by this young fast bowler who is brother of Shahnawaz Dahani, serious bowling talent in the family!" tweeted Afridi along with a video of him seeing the bowler bowl in the nets.  Afridi said that there is "real cricket talent in interior Sindh".  To highlight the lack of sports facilities in other areas of Sindh, he said that "ideally players shouldn't need to travel to Karachi", urging the government to develop "quality facilities across interior Sindh".

  Muslim students from a United Kingdom madrassa cheered up for England as the national football team locked heads with Denmark during the Euro 2020 second semi-final match on Wednesday. ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Qazi Jameel-ur-Rehman, called on Prime Minister Imran Khan Friday and briefed him on the ongoing investigation into the case of a couple, that was assaulted by a group of gangsters. During the meeting, the prime minister was briefed by the police chief on the progress made on the sexual harassment and detention investigation of the couple in Islamabad’s Sector E-11. PM Khan, a day earlier, had taken notice of the incident and sought a detailed report from the IGP into the matter. MULTAN: Members of the transgender community on Thursday attended the first day of school after a special institute was opened for their community in Multan a day earlier. Close to 18 transgenders have enrolled in the school that caters to students from their community. The Government Comprehensive School for Girls was inaugurated on Wednesday by Punjab's Secretary School South Punjab Ehtisham Anwar. Anwar at the time said that schools for the trans community will be launched in Dera Ghazi Khan and Bahawalpur as well. The 23-month-old dwarf cow has become a media star with scores of newspapers and television stations throwing the spotlight on the tiny bovine at a farm near Dhaka. Euro 2020 final: Thousands of tickets being illegally sold in 'black'

  Thousands of tickets for England’s Euro 2020 football finale are being sold at record prices in the black market, according to British media. English and Italian fans are rushing to black markets for tickets as the Euro 202 final nears after England won the semi-final match against Denmark via a penalty on Thursday.  This is the first time the country has made it to the final of a major tournament since 1996. Last week, UEFA's official website announced all tickets had sold out but excited fans have now turned to black markets in hopes to snap up tickets, that are now being sold at even higher prices. Seats are going for five figures on secondary ticketing websites despite UEFA regulations banning their resale above face value.
